When summoning an "EM" monster or successfully performing a Special Summon, his Special Summon effect of Kagetokage is powerful. It's like writing a rank 4, but of course EM is his deck that fights mainly with his Pendulum Summon, so there's no need to use this effect. That said, the number of non-Pendulum EM monsters has increased recently, so there's plenty of potential for it to play an active role.

The effect is solid and useful when his Pendulum isn't ready or he's just deploying. However, it might be a pity that he becomes a meaningless effect after the middle stage when Pendulums are available.

Rank 4 is the hottest rank right now, and just because it's a card that you can easily access there, you can unconditionally give a certain evaluation. EM itself has many powerful level 4 monsters, and access to rank 4 is easy.
